City of Southfield, Michigan

As part of an ongoing project with the City of Southfield, CEA has developed a series of GIS-based applications resulting in one of the more advanced City GIS in the State, including a City-wide GIS Web-Site, a Document Management System (DMS), a Code Enforcement application, a Mobile Touch Screen Public Safety System for police dispatch and in-car use, Sign Inventory and Management and more.

Campaign Finance
CEA developed a Campaign Financing System for Macomb County Clerk Office

CEA has experts on Michigan’s Campaign Finance Law (P.A. 388 of 1976, as amended) that have developed a turn-key, comprehensive computer system to enable county clerks in Michigan to efficiently enforce the provisions of this legislation.

MICR Compliance

The Michigan Incident Crime Reporting system (MICR) is a replacement for the old UCR system, and is tightly linked to the FBI’s NIBRS. All law enforcement agencies in the State of Michigan are required to submit crime statistics to the Michigan State Police in MICR format, which is a very rigid format.

According to the Michigan State Police, it takes, on average, 18 - 24 months for a typical police agency to become certified as MICR-compliant.

With the help of CEA, the City of Warren Police Department (the third largest city in Michigan) was able to attain MICR compliance in under six months.

If you’re trying to figure out how to get MICR compliant without blowing your budget out of the water, contact the MICR-compliance experts at CEA:
